Rasheeda N. Creighton
I believe personal finance is personal, and the goal is always freedom. Taking control of your finances frees you up for the life you've dreamed of, and my goal is to support women, especially Black women, in manifesting those dreams.
My Background
In 2015, I had six figures in debt, a 1.5 year old, and a failed marriage. With all of my degrees and corporate success, I was still living paycheck to paycheck, and was constantly stressed out. Fast forward to 2 years later, and I was debt free, living life on my own terms with no stress. I became a YNAB Certified Coach in 2022, and have passed the AFCPE Financial Counseling exam as well. My goal is to help other women find their paths to freedom, while taking off (and burning) their superwoman capes.
Why Work with Me
My approach is to help you navigate money in a way that works for you. I am engaging and non-judgemental. Want to spend $30 on DoorDash for that candy bar you have a craving for? Cool. Let's make sure we have a plan to make that happen. If ever a social media trend was a perfect example of what it's like working with me, it would be "We listen, and we don't judge.
I'm here to help you take control of your finances, and have some fun along the way.
Why I Coach
I coach because too often, as women and especially as Black women, we don't talk about money. For far too long, it's been a taboo subject to even discuss how you're feeling about money, let alone the details of our financial lives. I found, though, that the more transparent I've been about my own money journey, the more it helps others. And what I know from experience is having clarity about money relieves stress and frees up your brain capacity for creativity, fun and dreaming. And that's what life is really about: imagining & realizing our dreams.
