Carrie Poling
Hi: I take a gentle and compassionate approach to budgeting that encourages budgeting as an act of loving care and gratitude that can strengthen families for generations. Money is simply one tool of many that should be a door and not a barrier to living a full and glad life.
My Background
I've been self employed since 2015 - stepping away from a lucrative public accounting career to start a business seeking to gain more balance as a new parent and better alignment with my strengths. My background as a CPA, as well as serving clients through a unique blend of support as a Certified Daily Money Manager (practical and personal everyday money task assistance) and small business bookkeeper has given me a competent skillset and a unique perspective to people's understanding and relationship with money.
Why Work with Me
I understand the constant and often conflicting tugs and pulls of culture, society, and the demands and pressures of life. I've always been a hard worker, have been married since 2009, serve outside of work and home, am a parent to two very active children (with no nearby family support system), and have a lot varied interests and hobbies. Life has thrown my family curveballs and budgeting has assisted us in navigating financial storms such as income losses and reductions, large unexpected expenses, and responsibly managing debt. My faith-based values are constantly teaching and reteaching me the virtues of contentment.
Why I Coach
My focus is on the family - whether that be couples, parents, or caregivers, we all have people we're serving, caring for, and loving on a daily basis. Healthy relationships are key to thriving in this life. Healthy and sustainable money care practices can support us to show up as our best selves to serve and love others well. I believe budgeting is one of the most loving, beneficial, and impactful things you can do for yourself and your family. I aim to reduce stress, and increase peace and simplicity.
