My Background
As a classroom teacher, I've nurtured diverse learners, pioneering financial literacy programs such as "First Children's Bank". Transitioning to an Integration Specialist role, I fused media, tech, and curriculum to help raise the ability of my students and staff. Outside the classroom, my husband and I led Roots and Shoots initiatives and are now working to revitalize the historic Stolley Park gardens. Recognized as Nebraska Digital Teacher of the Year by Apple, Alumni Educator of the Year by Doane and Teacher of the Year for Grand Island Public Schools, I credit my students' achievements and staff dedication for these honors.
